PPL(H) tourist helicopter pilot license - training course
The PPL(H) helicopter pilot license is the most popular license we train for at ATO Horizon Air Services. It entitles you to fly a helicopter solo and take passengers on board non-commercially.
The training consists of two stages: A 100-hour theoretical course covering nine subjects and a minimum of 45 hours of practice on a Robinson R44 helicopter. The course is available from the age of 16.

Additional training
Horizon Air Services offers a full range of flight training for helicopter pilots - from the CPL(H) professional license, type ratings on the Robinson R44 and R66, VFR night rating and the FI(H) instructor course.
